Rite Aid Collects More Than $750K During Special CMN Campaign

Children Miracle NetworkRite Aid’s 2010 fundraising total for Children’s Miracle Network stands at $4.5 million after a special 32-day miracle balloon campaign raised an additional $754,000.

The special fundraiser provided additional support to CMN, helping children’s hospitals to continue providing expert quality care during a slow economic time that has affected charitable giving.

Rite Aid suppliers continued to show their commitment to CMN by supporting six new coupons for the special campaign. The campaign’s Miracle Balloon featured $1 discounts on any Sharpie Pen two-pack, Revenue Creations computer accessory, Xerox paper, Rite Aid Verizon phone card, Right Guard Total Defense 5 deodorant or any Coppertone product.

“I’d like to thank our supplier partners for their continued support of our CMN campaigns,” says Public Relations Manager Ashley Flower. “Over the past 16 years, our suppliers have been a key player in helping us make a difference in the lives of the sick and injured children at CMN hospitals. We sincerely appreciate their support.”

In addition to funding coupons and participating in fundraising events throughout the chain, suppliers supported CMN by donating toys to Rite Aid’s annual CMN holiday toy drive. Anyone interested in donating items to this year’s toy drive should contact Flower at 717-975-5718 or aflower@riteaid.com.

Suppliers interested in donating to the 2010 campaign or offering a discount for next year’s paper Miracle Balloon should also contact Flower.

Rite Aid has raised more than $46 million for CMN since 1994, when the company first began holding annual campaigns.
