Rite Aid, Supplier Partners Raise Over $2 Million for The Rite Aid Foundation
Each year, company leaders and Rite Aid supplier partners travel to Las Vegas to take part in The Rite Aid Foundation Charity Golf Classic – a tradition that plays a key role in empowering the foundation to support kid-focused health and wellness programs.
Thanks to the participation of 214 Rite Aid supplier partners, including 21 first-time participants, this year’s golf classic raised more than $2 million to support the Foundation’s charitable efforts. This includes the highly successful KidCents program, which allows customers to “round-up” their Rite Aid purchases to the nearest dollar and donate the change to kid-focused organizations.
Through KidCents, the Foundation supports programs like animal-assisted therapy for children with disabilities; summer camps for kids with special needs; after-school health and fitness programs for at-risk youth as well as support services to children who are victims of abuse or neglect.
“Our annual Rite Aid Foundation Golf Classic was once again a huge success,” said President and COO Ken Martindale, who is also president of The Rite Aid Foundation. “This success wouldn’t be possible without the support of our supplier partners, and we thank them for helping The Rite Aid Foundation make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.”
