Rite Aid Sets CMN Hospitals Fundraising Record with Help from Supplier Partners
Rite Aid’s 2012 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals campaign shattered all records this year, raising an anticipated $5.35 million in support of 95 children’s hospitals across the country by selling Miracle Balloons and hosting fundraising events, according to Senior Public Relations Manager Ashley Flower. “This level of achievement represents the outstanding efforts of almost 90,000 Rite Aid associates and the generous contributions of our valued supplier partners,” she says. “We thank our associates and supplier partners for making miracles happen.”
Another campaign record was set on June 15 at the 13th Annual Executive Corporate Car Wash in Camp Hill, Pa., thanks to the combined support of Rite Aid associates, executives and supplier partners. Company leaders spent several hours of their busy day scrubbing dirty cars, taking pies to the face, and competing in an obstacle course race at the event to raise a record-breaking total of $205,000 for CMN Hospitals and the Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital in Hershey, Pa.
Chairman, President and CEO John Standley says that Rite Aid associates and supplier partners are passionate about helping to raise funds for CMN Hospitals.
“One of our core values is to help the communities we serve, and I can’t think of a better way to help them than to support CMN Hospitals. There are many children out there who need our help and support,” says Standley. “The contributions and involvement we receive from our supplier partners are crucial to this effort. We are very grateful for their generous support.”
