Rite Aid Driving Holiday Excitement
We’re gearing up for the biggest selling season of the year with targeted marketing and merchandising programs focused on driving customer excitement this holiday season. Our store teams filled the shelves with a wide selection of holiday merchandise on Nov. 1, and now we are looking to provide superior customer service as holiday promotions begin to kick in.
For us, the holiday season starts with a mix of merchandise that blends new seasonal items with perennial favorites. “We feel we have an extremely vibrant holiday presentation this year,” says Executive Vice President of Merchandising Tony Montini. “Our category management and supplier partner teams have worked very hard to make sure that our mix is unique, exciting and aligned with our customers’ needs.”
When Black Friday kicks off the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season, we will host a 3-day customer sales event backed by Thanksgiving Day circular advertising offering enticing deals. “Our 3-day event has done extremely well,” Montini says. “Customers have added a trip to their Rite Aid pharmacy as part of their Black Friday shopping routine to take advantage of the value and convenience we offer.”
The following week, as part of our Cyber Monday strategy, we will offer deals for online shoppers at our Rite Aid Online Store. This will set the stage for the return of “The Rites” – a fictional family of four that was popular on Rite Aid social media pages last year. The Rites are a key component of our “25 Days of Christmas” promotion that offers great savings.
As promotional vehicles drive customers to Rite Aid and customers find what they need at a great value, store teams will be prepared to provide the finishing touch: a superior customer experience that begins and ends with G.E.T.—Greet, Engage and Thank!

After the holidays wrap up, Rite Aid will keep the momentum going with two special RA50 customer savings events to be held in January and February.
