Rite Aid Charts New Vision for the Future

As the industry continues to evolve and Rite Aid continues to strengthen its health and wellness offering, Rite Aid Chief Operating Officer Ken Martindale introduced a new vision and updated mission and core values for the company at the Annual Sales Meeting in Baltimore, Md., March 4 (see related article)

Rite Aid’s new vision is that “Customers confidently choose us first for their everyday health and wellness needs because we consistently understand and exceed their expectations.”

“By delighting customers on each and every visit, this vision will help Rite Aid to be the health and wellness provider of choice,” said Martindale.
Along with a new vision, Martindale also unveiled the company’s updated mission and core values.

Rite Aid’s mission is “To improve the health and wellness of our communities through engaging experiences that provide our customers with the best products, services, and advice to meet their unique needs.” These words describe how the company intends to achieve its new vision—by executing on personalized, individualized and customized attention to our best customers.

Rite Aid’s Core Values, the ground rules that direct the company’s thinking, decision-making and actions in the pursuit of its Vision, have also been refined:

According to Martindale, Rite Aid’s new vision and refocused mission and core values serve as the foundation for delivering on the company’s brand promise to customers: actively working with you to keep you well.

“Our role remains to constantly bring new ideas, services, and products to our valuable customers in their ongoing quest for wellness,” Martindale says. “These guiding principles serve to further strengthen our strategies, innovate new ideas, insure our alignment, and link our plan with operational execution to deliver even stronger results in the coming years.”
