Rite Aid Adds Exciting New Features To wellness+
Rite Aid kicked off the New Year by adding exciting new features to its award-winningwellness+ loyalty program, which continues to offer exclusive savings while encouraging wellness empowerment.
Rite Aid’s wellness+ members can now take advantage of the new Load2Cardfeature, which allows customers to access manufacturer’s coupons through RiteAid.com and load them directly to theirwellness+ card. The coupon savings is automatically deducted from applicable purchases when customers scan their card at checkout.
“Load2Card is unique and the first of its kind in the drugstore industry,” says Senior Vice President of Marketing John Learish. “We expect this program to be a convenience that many of our customers will enjoy.”
In addition, wellness+ members can now choose from several wellness+ reward options once they’ve earned 500 points, or silver-tier membership. Members continue to have the option of receiving a free blood glucose and total cholesterol screening. As of Jan. 1, they have additional options such as a health magazine subscription and gym membership.
Another change is the addition of the bronze tier for members who earn 250 points or more. Once members earn 250 points, they receive 10-percent off Rite Aid Brand products every day for one year and a one-time 10-percent off shopping pass.
Learish says these enhancements reflect the company’s commitment to making wellness+ even stronger and keeping the more than 47 million cardholders engaged in the program long term. “We’re pushing forward to make wellness+ even better so that we can continue attracting new members and always give current members a compelling reason to use their card,” Learish says.
Supplier partners continue to play a vital role in making wellness+ such a compelling and successful program. For example, they have shown strong support in funding +Up Rewards — coupons printed at the bottom of customer receipts to be redeemed on a future purchase.
At the same time, participating supplier partners are using data gathered through wellness+ to further refine and target their offerings, which benefits both Rite Aid and the supplier.
