Pharmacist Advice Just A Few Clicks Away For wellness+ Members

Online Pharmacist Chats Now Available Through Rite Aid Website

Online chatHave you ever missed a daily dose of medication and wondered what to do about it?

Since the wellness+ Rewards Program launched in April, members have been able to get the answer to this or other prescription-related questions by calling 1-800-RITEAID and speaking with a pharmacist, available by phone 24/7.

Now, wellness+ members have the added convenience of consulting a Rite Aid pharmacist using the new online chat feature available on the Rite Aid website. Members may chat with a pharmacist online any time of day or night by clicking “My Rite Aid” on www.RiteAid.com, selecting wellness+ online after logging in and accessing the pharmacist chat link. Members without a MyRiteAid.com account must create one before using the service.

“We’ve said from the beginning that wellness+ offers tremendous value and discounts, but it’s more than just a discount program,” says Senior Vice President of Marketing John Learish. “Our new online pharmacist chat service is just another way wellness+ members can use the program to enhance their health and wellness.”

“By having pharmacists available both online and over the phone, we are making it more convenient forwellness+ members to get the information they need whenever they need it,” says Ernie Richardsen, group vice president of Pharmaceutical Purchasing and Clinical Services.

Since the online chat feature launched in June, wellness+ members have used the service to ask pharmacists about topics such as proper dosage, drug interactions and identifying pills that have been accidentally mixed together.

Members are asked for feedback after completing the online chat. One first-time user recently said, “The pharmacist was very knowledgeable and super helpful! Any drug store that does not provide this service is not giving 100 percent to their shoppers. Hats off to Rite Aid for being ahead of the game.”
