Innovative Concepts Transform Rite Aid’s Beverly Hills Store
Rite Aid executives welcomed Beverly Hills Mayor Lili Bosse, local community partners and the community to a grand re-opening celebration on June 23 at the company’s newly remodeled Wellness store in Beverly Hills, located at 300 North Canon Drive. The store features the latest evolution of the company’s highly successful wellness store design and reflects Rite Aid’s latest innovations in merchandising concepts, new products and services.
The transformation involved a total remodel and enlargement of the pharmacy, a one-of-a kind beauty department and a redesign of several key departments, including over-the-counter medicines and first aid. The store also offers a Fresh Day Café and patio area, where customers can enjoy Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf beverages, fresh baked goods, sandwiches and Rite Aid’s very own Thrifty ice cream.
“This store has been completely changed from a drugstore to a pharmacy of the future. From ceiling to floor, aisle to aisle, from the pharmacy to our new premium beauty department, the entire store received a makeover and we couldn’t be more proud of the end result,” said Rite Aid President and Chief Operating Officer Ken Martindale. “With the support of our supplier partners, this store will empower our customers to take greater control of their health.”
First introduced in 2011, Rite Aid’s Wellness store format provides products, resources and information to help its customers and their families live healthier lives. To date, Rite Aid has continuously modified and enhanced the design of more than 1,300 stores nationwide. The company anticipates remodeling another 450 stores to feature its Wellness store format by the end of Fiscal 2015.
