Derek Griffith Named Rite Aid Executive Vice President of Store Operations
Rite Aid recently announced that Derek Griffith, who has served as Rite Aid’s senior vice president of operations in the Northeast and Midwest, has been named executive vice president of store operations.
In this position, Griffith is responsible for all aspects of the company’s chainwide store operations. He reports to Bryan Everett, chief operating officer of Rite Aid stores.
“Derek has done a terrific job in his current role and has proven to be an exceptional leader,” said Everett. “In addition to his expertise in developing and implementing initiatives that drive performance, Derek has consistently demonstrated his passion for guiding the professional growth and development of future Rite Aid leaders.”
“As we move forward, his leadership and knowledge will help us successfully execute our operational plan and grow our business while further enhancing both the associate and customer experience in our stores,” Everett added.
Griffith is a skilled leader with more than 30 years of experience in store operations. He joined Rite Aid in 2008 as a regional vice president of store operations. In 2010, he was promoted to his current role, with responsibility for more than 1,100 Rite Aid stores in the Northeast and Midwest.
Prior to joining Rite Aid, Griffith held various store operations roles with increasing responsibility at Target and Home Depot.
Griffith holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from West Virginia University.
