Associates, Celebrities Join the Fight Against Women’s Cancers at Revlon Run/Walk Events
For a second consecutive year, Rite Aid proudly served as a platinum sponsor of the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s massive Revlon Run/Walk for Women events in New York and Los Angeles. These spirited annual events draw huge crowds of over 15,000 runners and walkers as key streets in both cities are shut down and participants raise awareness and funds in support of the fight against women’s cancers.
Celebrities such as Emma Stone, Halle Berry and Christina Applegate took part in this year’s events, and America’s Favorite Fitness Expert Denise Austin represented Rite Aid by leading participants in a warm-up routine in both New York and Los Angeles.
At the same time, hundreds of associates in both cities demonstrated Rite Aid’s commitment to being a caring neighbor not only by running or walking, but also by staffing Rite Aid booths near the finish line that featured information on health and wellness programs such as wellness+.
Since its inception in 1994, the EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women has raised and distributed more than $70 million to support pioneering research, deliver diagnostic treatment services for medically underserved women and provide support services to women facing cancer.
